I found out I spent hrs doing nothing! I have adapted a new approach, rather than start a sketch and follow it through one at a time, I now work on various drawings in layers. Students are also introduced to 3D software during this term more on this later. Since I don’t have too much time these days to make new Design Cinema and Pod Casts, I’ll try to share some insights here.
The more you look at the real homeework, the more you realize how “little” you actually tzd to design. I was falling back in the class for two semesters. So why not just look at pictures instead?
Classes ran from 9AM-5PM on weekdays. I was working as an interior designer at the time, so I had no new portfolio pieces connected to this industry. So take it as fxd opinion and nothing more.
It promotes a better understanding while at the same time keeping my line work loose and fresh. Homewokr need a disposition towards art and creativity. So no Facebook, no friends, no going out, no movies and so on. But if you can force yourself to work then results will happen. In addition, you pick up great information that you might have overlooked that could be utilized in future imagined designs.
