Dissertation Proposal Development (DPD) Program

The application needed to explain how the proposed dissertation project sought to build upon and add to theoretical or interpretive understandings of current scholarship by posing an innovative research puzzle or question and applying insightful methods of research and analysis. Fellows must attend spring and fall workshops led by experienced faculty. Students who had already submitted dissertation research proposals to their departments for approval or to funding agencies for support of their dissertation research were not eligible to apply.
